Too often, talented and capable aspiring researchers have the skills to do great research work, but are unable to land their first or second research job. We’re here to change that.
We’ve partnered with the team at UXR Collective as well as leaders in the research community to put together a program focused on helping you position your experience and skills in a way that lands you the job.
If you already know the basics of usability testing and interviewing, and are looking for an edge in your next job interview, this program is for you. It’s completely free for everyone, so if you’re looking for help getting your first research role, apply today.
Learn from Research Leaders
You’ll be hearing talks from research leaders like Behzod Sirjani, Alec Levin, Patti Carlson, and more.
Join a Community
As a Junior Research Fellow, you’ll be joining a cohort of early-stage researchers going through the same challenges you are.
Tooling to Show your Skills
You’ll get access to Lookback’s suite of research tools for free, so you can demonstrate in your portfolio and interviews that you know how to do usability testing, user interviews, and more.
At Lookback, we know that junior researchers have so much to contribute to companies of all shapes and sizes. In fact, we’ve made a point of hiring junior researchers at Lookback and they have thrived and supported our growth in many ways.
That’s why we’re starting the Lookback Jr Researcher Fellowship, an initiative we’ve started in collaboration with the team at UXR Collective.
Our goal here is simple - to help you, a junior researcher who already knows the basics, land your first job as a researcher.
We won’t be covering methods or synthesis here. Instead, we’ll spend time helping you develop context on what hiring managers are looking for, how to position your experience, and give you some practice before you start your interviews.
As a cohort, you’ll get to build connections with fellow junior researchers, hear talks from research leaders on topics like interviewing, communication, and self-care, and have take-home assignments for practice.
And here is the best part - the cost to participate is $0. That’s right, this program is absolutely free and always will be. This is our way of giving back to the community that we love, we know you’ll pay it forward to the next generation of research leaders.
Proposed Start Date: April 5th, 2021
